Department and program branding

The lockup configuration is used exclusively to represent colleges and schools, creating a consistent presentation of Cornell's main offering.

For departments, programs and units we have a wordmark system, following Arts & Sciences and Cornell guidelines. You can download your unit’s wordmark here.

The wordmark or its variations should be used in all official department communications. The wordmark has been carefully set with specific letter spacing and typographic details, and should not be recreated by simply typing it out. However, the department name may be typed out when used in a paragraph of text.

See the How to Implement our Brand Architecture section for guidelines on how to integrate your wordmark with Arts & Sciences and Cornell branding.

Research labs should refer to the Cornell brand guide for how they can be represented. If you have any questions, please contact Laura Chichisan at lac346@cornell.

Tricia to insert paragraph on shared department guidance.
